Planmeca ProMax®: Advanced 3D Imaging Technology

The Planmeca ProMax® is an innovative, advanced technology that uses three different technologies in one machine: Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT), a 3D scan and a 3D picture of your face. With these three elements, Dr. Yazji can get the full picture of your facial structure, including your teeth, jaw and even nerves, in order to assess any orthodontic issues. The Planmeca ProMax® is both an easy machine to use and fast, which means that Dr. Yazji can receive the full 3D image of your face in no time—and you don’t have to spend a long time waiting for your scans to finish.
This imaging technology is both safe and non-invasive. While the machine completes your scan, you will sit in a comfortable chair and place your chin in a padded rest. Nothing goes in your mouth and the machine is not enclosed, making this a comfortable and non-invasive experience. It also uses a very minimal amount of radiation, especially when compared to traditional X-rays.

Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™

Planmeca Ultra Low Dose™ is an exclusive 3D imaging protocol designed to minimize patient radiation exposure, surpassing even the low levels of radiation associated with standard panoramic imaging. The resulting images are accurate and comprehensive while maintaining safer levels of radiation for the patient.
The Planmeca Ultra Low Dose 3D imaging protocol can be used across a diverse spectrum of clinical scenarios, not just orthodontics! It can also be used for implant planning, maxillofacial surgery, as well as airway and sinus examinations.
High resolutions and standards are not always necessary, and Planmeca Ultra Low Dose 3D imaging is enough to see the nerve channels necessary for dental and orthodontic procedures without the high dosage required to get high-resolution images.
