Before scheduling your initial consultation, choose the Smarter Orthodontics location that’s most convenient for you: Weston, Brickell, or Miami. When you arrive at your office of choice, we will give you a tour of the space and introduce you to our friendly team. In general, we recommend arriving early for your appointment, and if you have any specific concerns or questions about your first visit, don’t hesitate to contact us ahead of time!
For your convenience, we also offer the option of virtual screenings for those interested in orthodontic treatment. Our virtual screenings allow you to share your smile concerns and take the first step toward exploring your treatment options from the comfort of your home without needing to visit one of our offices in person. Whether you have a busy schedule or simply prefer the flexibility of getting started remotely, our virtual screenings offer a convenient first step toward achieving your smile goals.
Please note that virtual screenings are intended as an initial assessment and do not replace an in-person orthodontic consultation, which is necessary for a comprehensive examination and personalized treatment planning.
No, you do not need a referral from your dentist to schedule an orthodontic consultation at Smarter Orthodontics. Whether you’re considering braces, Invisalign®, or early orthodontic treatment for your child, you can schedule a complimentary consultation through our easy online form.
Not every orthodontic issue requires immediate attention. A loose bracket, poking wire, or lost retainer can usually wait until regular office hours, although you should contact us for guidance and to arrange an appointment if needed. If a wire is causing irritation, orthodontic wax may provide temporary relief.
However, severe pain, significant swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, or trauma involving the teeth or jaws requires prompt evaluation. For serious injuries, difficulty breathing or swallowing, or uncontrolled bleeding, seek immediate medical attention at an emergency department.
